Officer James Green, fondly known as Officer Jim, was selected as the 2025 recipient of the U.S. Department of Education's prestigious national RISE (Recognizing Inspiring School Employees) Award. This honor highlights the exceptional contributions of classified school employees who go above and beyond in service to students. Officer Jim is the School Police Officer at Broad Street Elementary School

We are pleased to share that Broad Street Elementary School's dedicated Police Officer, James Green (fondly known as Officer Jim), has been selected as a recipient of the U.S. Department of Education's prestigious national RISE (Recognizing Inspiring School Employees) Award. This honor highlights the exceptional contributions of classified school employees who go above and beyond in service to students.

The McQuistion Holiday Shop and Family Night were a great start to the holiday season!

Students were encouraged to focus on the giving spirit of the season and had the opportunity to shop for their loved ones throughout the week. Families were able to also visit the shop during family night while having milk and cookies with Santa and Mrs. Claus and visiting with the Grinch at the holiday family night event. Many families painted ornament keepsakes and enjoyed time being festive together!

The Senior High School Tornado Big Band recently performed at Connoquenessing, Northwest, and McQuistion Elementary School. The elementary students enjoyed the opportunity to see the band perform! 

The Butler Rock Orchestra rocked three exciting shows for elementary students in December! They visited Northwest, McQuistion, and Broad Street Elementary playing hits by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Students got to learn about different instruments, how to be a conductor, and even try playing an instrument themselves!
