Butler Area School District has been awarded a $7,500 Pennsylvania Farm Bill Agriculture & Youth Grant to support and expand agricultural education opportunities across the district.

Mrs. Trofimuk and Ms. Masters helped our 4th grade students at McQuistion Elementary experience the true joy of the season by focusing on kindness and giving. Students secretly filled every classmate’s stocking with kind notes, drawings, and handmade surprises, learning that giving can feel even better than receiving.

McQuistion Elementary School students were recently enjoyed making gingerbread houses. Their festive works of art were featured in the Butler Eagle.

Shop with a Cop was a great success!

Students from across the district had the opportunity to go shopping for Christmas alongside local police officers, creating a special day filled with joy, excitement, and incredible memories.

McQuistion Elementary PTO held its annual Trunk or Treat in October. The event had an outstanding turnout.

Each year I like to remind our families of our Winter Weather Plan. 

I make the decision to delay or cancel school after I review the weather forecast and consult with our Transportation Department. When necessary, the district also consults with the municipalities and other resources within our community. Each decision regarding whether or not to delay or cancel school is made with student safety as the primary concern. I recognize that any delay or cancellation can create hardships for our families and do not take this decision lightly.
